“Faith Over Fear: A Message for Troubled Times”

The virus came—like a storm across calm water.

The tide rose, and it fell. Just like it always does. But human beings? We want the sunshine. Every day. A life with no storms. No waves. No wind. We forget—we’re not here alone.

And if you think there’s never gonna be any trouble in this life, let me say it plain:
You’re dreaming.

Trouble is coming. But when it does, don’t run from it. Walk through it—with God.
Because if I walk with Him, I’m never alone.

I’ve seen fear these past years like never before. And let me tell you—
The ungodly are terrified.

Why? Because their fortress isn’t God. Their trust isn’t in Him.
They’re trying to face the darkness without the Light.

But the Word says:
“I will be with them in trouble. I will deliver them. I will honor them. With long life, I will satisfy them and show them My salvation.”
That’s Psalm 91.

All that’s required of us? Two things:
Love God. Love your neighbor.
That’s it.

But look around. Do you see love? Or do you see panic?

I’m watching people operate in this pandemic like God fell off His throne.
They’re scared to death—because they’ve never believed in life beyond death.

No resurrection.
No hope.
No peace.

But for those of us who believe, we know this truth:
Jesus Christ died to take away our sin.
He was buried.
And He rose—conquering death.

That’s not just theology.
That’s everything.

Faith. Hope. Love.
And the greatest of these? Love.

For God.
And for people.

Lord knows we need it now.

Look—we’re not promised tomorrow.
Plagues will come. Pandemics, pestilence, chaos.

But do not fear.

Use common sense. Wash your hands.
Be smart. Be wise. But don’t surrender your work.
Don’t give up your freedom.
Don’t trade your hope for a headline.

This virus? It’ll take some of us.
But death comes for us all—it’s only a matter of when, not if.

But here’s the good news:
Jesus came to deliver us from sin—and from death itself.

Hebrews says:

“He shared in our humanity so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by the fear of death.”

That’s what Christ did.

The world is scared to die.
And then, they die anyway.

But we—those who walk with Him—we have a hope beyond the grave.

So take it all in stride.

Let’s get back to work.
Let’s rebuild what was shaken.
Let’s put our faith where it belongs—in God, not in fear.
And let’s move forward.
